When I was tasked with creating a Pinterest account, a pocket account and a custom google map I was apprehensive. I had already made an account for Pinterest previously so did not find it too difficult to create a new page. Social media is such an integral part of creating an image and marketing. But also for spreading information and informing users on a specific topic. (Schmid, 2020)
Creating a custom map I found both challenging but also rewarding. The steps involved were different to complete, but the instructions were clear and accurate. I enjoyed creating a map as I found it rewarding to see the finished product. I decided to create a map of the key locations in Irish rugby. I did this by locating the key stadiums around Ireland that are home to Irish rugby’s best teams. I chose this topic as It was directly linked to the blog that I had created in my first badge submission which was about the six nations rugby tournament. Finding capacities, locations and co-ordinates was challenging. I used reliable online sources to find the locations and capacity’s.
“Peer review, as its name indicates, provides the means through which persons with expertise in the field and/or subject matter of an article can (1) assess its intellectual soundness and academic integrity; (2) provide feedback to authors” (Mercer, 2018) Receiving peer feedback was very educational, being able to look at different peoples point of views on your work and hearing their ideas on how you could improve is very valuable. I did however struggle giving feedback as I was conscious of not offending anyone. But I did enjoy reviewing others work and seeing if my future work could take inspiration from others.
